Lack of education is a major factor in the causes of poverty. One of the ways that IFM is combating poverty is through Christian education.  Each morning starts off with a devotions, and a Bible class is also part of the curriculum.

International Faith Mission's School currently has 425 students from Pre-K (not pictured) to 6th Grade.  Each student receives a daily hot meal; this is important since nutrition plays a big part in good comprehension.

Not all of the students are able to pay the small tuition and book fee (25% of cost).  We would love to be able to provide this education free of charge, but this is not possible.  This is why we have the sponsorship program which enables you to also assist in combating poverty through education.  Please check out our sponsorship program.

Since Primary School (Pre-K through Grade 6) is held in the morning (7:30 AM to 12:30 PM) we are able to loan out our buildings to a Secondary School (Grades 7-12) in the afternoon.  Moise Oscar (the son of our school director, Pastor Voltaire Oscar) is the director of the secondary school.  While we are not able to help pay teachers or buy books for the secondary school, we support them in other ways (example: giving them electric from our generator).
